Garden Purslane Mix Seeds — Portulaca oleracea

A garden-grown purslane mix for fresh summer greens. Purslane (Portulaca oleracea) is a warm-season annual with fleshy leaves and a gently tart flavour, enjoyed fresh in salads or cooked.

Our garden planting includes purslane labelled Garden Purslane, Tall Green, Golden Purslane and Wild Purslane. These plants have grown together and are offered as a mixed garden collection, rather than separately identified varieties. Leaf colour, size and growth habit may vary; individual packets are not guaranteed to contain every type or fixed proportions.

The photographs show our own plants.

Growing notes

Grow in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil once conditions are warm. Water regularly for tender leaves. Purslane can self-seed freely, so collect seed or remove spent plants where volunteers are unwanted.

Approximately 1,000 seeds per packet, portioned by weight.
