A flower made part of the room. This design comes from the tulip windows Wright created for the Lake Geneva Hotel in Wisconsin in 1911. Its angular petals, slender stem and pale gold colour bring a natural form into the language of architecture.

For Wright, a building, its interior and its setting belonged to one organic whole. Bringing nature into daily experience was part of making places that could nourish the people within them. At Lake Geneva, the tulip motif gave that larger idea a recognisable, intimate form: a flower encountered through the very glass that admitted daylight.

In this panel, the clear spaces and quiet gold can suggest that same sense of belonging to the world outside. As the light changes, the design becomes part of the room’s daily rhythm—a small reminder of the relationship between nature, shelter and the person at home.

Contemporary art-glass adaptation of Wright’s window design. Enamel colours are kiln-fired onto a single glass panel, framed in metal. Includes a hanging chain and wood display stand.
